Block & Bridle
Block & Bridle is a great place to meet other students who have a strong interest in animal agriculture and to get involved on the St. Paul Campus. The University of Minnesota Block & Bridle Club is affiliated with the National Block & Bridle Club.
The objectives of the Block & Bridle Club are to:
- Ensure a higher scholastic standard and a more complete understanding of animal agriculture among members.
- Develop programs that will supplement the study of the animal sciences in colleges and universities.
- Enhance professionalism of students who will be leaders in the animal agriculture industry.
- Promote close relationships among all students pursing animal agriculture as a profession.
The Block & Bridle Club participates in popular campus activities such as Minnesota Royal. We host livestock related events on and off campus including the Spring Pig Sale and the B&B Prospect Show. The club also engages in community events such as the annual barbecue at the state FFA Judging Convention.
Club meetings are held once a month in Haecker Hall on the St. Paul Campus. New members are always welcome. First time member dues are $20, and returning member dues are $10.
