Golden Alumni Award

The Golden Alumni Award recognizes two alumni that have achieved distinction in their professional lives for their outstanding contributions to animal science and exceptional service to their respective fields.

Nominations for the 2020 Golden Alumni Award

Nominations are invited based on the following:

  • Nominees must have received a baccalaureate or graduate degree from the Department of Animal Science.
  • Current staff or faculty in the department or sitting Regents are not eligible for this award.
  • Nominees are chosen based on their demonstrated distinction in their professional lives, recognition for outstanding contributions to animal science and exceptional service to or volunteer activities in their field.
  • This award is meant to recognize alumni in all animal related fields, including industry, academia, public service, private foundation, etc., and is inclusive of all levels of animal science degree(s) earned.

Nominations consist of a letter highlighting the nominee’s accomplishments, a current resume, and two letters of support.

Nominations must be received by Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 to be considered for the current year’s award. Nominations not previously selected will be held and reconsidered for two years. Self-nominations are accepted. The recipients will be chosen by a selection committee comprised of faculty and staff from the Department of Animal Science.
