Give to the Max Day for Students
Would you like to help Animal Science fundraise for an updated Teaching Lab? Here are 3 simple things you can do to help:
1. Post on Social Media
The Foundation is giving thousands of dollars to U causes by randomly selecting social media users whose posts include #UMNgive, so we need your help! Post a photo on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram using the #UMNGive on November 14. Your post can include anything from your pet dressed in gopher attire to a #tbt of yourself in a UMN sweatshirt as a kid. Here are some sample posts (feel free to copy and paste):
I am so excited it is Give to the Max Day! Did you know @umnAnSci is fundraising to update the teaching lab for students like me? Check out more info at: http://c-fund.us/o89. #UMNGive #UMNansci

2. Volunteer Your Friendly Pet
Do you have a pet that loves people and can sit or be held for thirty minutes? We would like to feature your pet at our Maroon Stop photo booth on November 14th for a 30 minute slot between 10-2. Passers by will be able to take a picture with your pet in our photobooth so they can post it on social media to help spread the word about Give to the Max Day. If this is something your pet would love, please contact Maggie Stensaas at firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday night.
Each animal will be by itself during the 30 minutes, but there may be some animal crossover at the beginning and end of each shift.
3. Volunteer Your Time
Don't have a pet, but still want to help at our Maroon Stop? We need 3 to 4 volunteers for each hour of the booth to help people vote for the Slime a Professor contest and to give out prizes.
In the afternoon, we also need help calling donors to thank them and see if they would like to vote for the Slime a Professor contest.
Want to help out with either of these items, please contact Maggie Stensaas at email@example.com.
