Give to the Max Day
The University of Minnesota has been preparing students to solve complex animal science issues since we offered our first livestock feeding and breeding course in 1881. Our world class alumni continue to make a difference in their local communities and across the world each and every day. To keep this legacy thriving, we need to continue to innovate in order to offer our best to every single animal science student.
This year for Give to the Max Day, we are fundraising to help update the Animal Science Teaching Lab; a designated space for students to learn, explore, and create in a hands-on and welcoming environment. This space was chosen because one of the first classes that will have the opportunity to use this lab will be the physiology lab, a required course for all animal science students.
Every dollar counts as we work to provide students with updated technology and lab space. Here are some examples of how your donation will help:
A $25 donation will pay to resurface lab counter space for 1 student.
A $50 donation will pay to repair the rust around the facet to ensure safe learning for all students.
A $100 donation will pay to mount a TV so every student in lab can see the professor’s presentation.
A $600 donation will buy a laptop for three students to use to run EEG tests on each other, demonstrating brain wave activity.
