Poultry-Specific Scholarship Opportunities:
American Egg Board-Egg Nutrition Center (AEB-ENC) Dissertation Fellowship
AEB-ENC funds a dissertation fellowship
program to support students during the final three years of their doctoral research on nutrition topics related to eggs, egg products, or functional nutrients in eggs. Research emphasis should focus on human nutrition and the contributions of eggs or egg products to a healthy diet. One AEB-ENC dissertation fellowship is awarded each year. Chester M. Wilcox Memorial Scholarships in Poultry
One scholarship for graduate study in Poultry Science. The scholarship provides stipends of $9,200 for the MS or $10,200 for the PhD per year to which $5,669 for an MS and $6,250 for a PhD will be added for a .2 FTE Graduate Research Assistantship appointment (tuition costs are waived). There is an additional sum of $1,000 for MS and $1,500 for PhD students to be administered by-the recipient with approval from the recipients' major professor, for the purchase of supplies and equipment associated with their research project. The recipient may take a full course load of 9-16 hours per quarter, including thesis credit. (In most cases, MS students receive the Wilcox for 2 years, and PhD students for 3 years, as long as satisfactory progress is made each year towards their degrees. Maurice Stein Graduate Fellowship - Poultry Science Association This fellowship is open to applicants of any nationality who study and/or conduct research in an academic or governmental institute in the U.S. Full- or part-time graduate students majoring in a poultry science area in a formally approved graduate program of study at an animal or poultry science department are eligible to receive the fellowship for training or research. Priority will be given to those candidates whose program involves training or research in eggs and egg products, poultry economics, and poultry business practices, projects that combine technical and business elements, and to candidates who prepare themselves for a career in the poultry industry.

The National Poultry & Food Distributors Association
(NPFDA) awards scholarships to various students of agricultural colleges and universities across the US. Each student selected will receive a $1500.00 scholarship from NPFDA. To qualify, each applicant must: Be a college junior or senior the upcoming (award) year at a U.S. institution; Be enrolled as a full time student; Be pursuing a poultry or related agricultural degree (Food science, Dietetics, Poultry Science, Ag. Econ., etc.); Provide his or her current official transcript; Provide a letter of recommendation from his or her Dean; Complete the application form; Provide a one-page letter describing his or her goals and aspirations. Pomeroy Award
One award ($3,500). Eligibility requirements include: Must be a student studying avian disease prevention, health, pathology; must currently be enrolled in the Animal Sciences Graduate Program; must have completed at least 1 semester of graduate work. More about this award.

The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association offers the Ranelius Scholarship - a competitive award program that seeks to give funds annually to high school senior(s), college or university student(s) from Minnesota who are pursuing an interest that relates in some way to the turkey industry.
