Precision Dairy Conference

Precision dairy management involves the use of sensors to collect information automatically, and the use of robotics and other automation to deliver labor and management tasks automatically, resulting in reduced labor and management time and improved productivity and profitability.

Precision Dairy 2013 was the first-ever Precision Dairy Conference and Expo held in the United States. This very successful event, held in Rochester, MN, in June of 2013, drew 540 attendees from 24 countries, 25 U.S. states, and 4 Canadian provinces. The conference program included the latest research abstracts, national and international speakers who are experts in the field of precision technology, and panels of producers who are using robotic milking, sensors and automated calf feeders. At the Expo, vendors showcased what they had to offer in precision dairy technology, gave demonstrations and answered questions, provided information, and discussed with attendees the advantages of using precision technology on the farm. Download the Proceedings from Precision Dairy 2013 here (5.8 MB pdf), or order a hard copy for $25 each (see order info below).

The 2nd U.S. precision dairy conference, Precision Dairy 2015, included dairy producer showcase sessions, several industry updates, and three plenary talks that summarized practical precision dairy management information. Over 40 exhibitors were at the trade show, which provided attendees the opportunity to see first-hand what companies have to offer in the growing field of precision technologies and equipment. This event was designed for dairy producers and practical applications rather than focusing on presentation of research data. The event was held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN, June 24 and 25, 2015.
