Teaching Faculty

The Department of Animal Science gives high priority to its educational responsibilities to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Our faculty and staff are carefully selected to teach and advise based on areas of expertise and knowledge of specific species.

Our faculty conduct basic and applied research and teach courses in genetics, genomics, growth biology, nutrition, physiology, reproduction, and management of production systems.

Three of our faculty, Drs. Les Hansen, Marshall Stern and Michael White, have earned the Morse Alumni and College of Agriculture Distinguished Teaching Awards.
