  • Nutrition, growth, development and economics of raising dairy heifers.
  • Inter-relationships of nutrition, physiology, metabolism, and genetics in dairy cattle
  • Production systems for raising Holstein beef calves and dairy heifers (confinement vs grazing)
  • Forage utilization (pasture and confinement) and mineral metabolism by ruminant
  • Feeding by-product feeds and feed additives to ruminants
  • Dairy herd health and nutrition; whole farm nutrient balance on livestock farms.
