Livestock Congress Student Travel Fellowships:
Applications for Student Travel Fellowships to the International Livestock Congress (ILC-USA) to be held January 6-11, 2007, in Denver, Colorado, are now available. Funded by the ISEF, the Fellowships provide students both in the United States and internationally with an opportunity to interact with leaders from throughout the beef industry. Students are provided with airfare, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, most meals and a complimentary registration to the Congress.

Royal Six Scholarship:
The Royal Six is a program designed to provide an opportunity
for outstanding college students to advocate agriculture, leadership,
and the American Royal. Six applicants will be selected as members of
the Royal Six. The Royal Six will travel to Kansas City, Missouri, in
August 2006 for training and return in October 2006 to participate in
the 107th American Royal, media events, civic organization meetings,
school visits, and a host of other activities.
- Awards: In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the Royal Six and their continuing advocacy of agriculture, the American Royal Association
will award a $3,500 scholarship to each student selected to be a member
of the Royal Six. One Royal Six member will also be offered a summer
2006 internship at the American Royal.

2007 Beef Industry Scholarship Program:
Sponsored by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the National Cattlemen's Foundation.
- Awards: Twenty scholarships of $1500

- Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student enrolled at a 2- or 4-year institution for the 2007-08 school years

MN Livestock Breeders' Association Scholarships:
- MBLA Scholarship: Awarded to an outstanding present or former 4-H or FFA high school senior, entering an agricultural college as a freshman. They must be pursuing a college education in which a major emphasis is on animal agriculture. More info...
- McKerrow Scholarship: Awarded to a present or former 4-H member who is entering his or her sophomore, junior or senior year at the University of Minnesota. Must be a resident of Minnesota and majoring or minoring in Animal Science. More info...
- Lyle Lamphere Scholarship Fund: The scholarship will be awarded to a student who will be a college junior or senior or first year graduate student at the University of Minnesota or other specific universities. They must be a resident of Minnesota or Wisconsin and majoring in Agriculture specifically in the fields of Animal Science, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Business or Agricultural Education. - 4-H Auction Scholarship: Applicant must be an undergraduate working toward a four-year degree and will be attending college for the 2006/07 school year pursuing an education and career which will support agriculture in the future. Applicant must have completed high school by 2006 or earlier and must have been a bona fide 4-H or FFA member for a minimum of three (3) years. Applicant may receive an auction scholarship only once. A minimum of ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. More info...
Ben C. Hallberg Scholarship Program:
A unique set of academic scholarships, designed to recognize the significant contributions of the State Fair Farm Boys’ Camp, later Youth Camp, over a span of
82 years, were initiated in 1994 into a permanent award program. More info...
