Flagship Programs

Beef Home Study Course

Learn about beef cattle from the comfort of your home with our self-education, introductory, course. This program focuses on providing producers with the information to make better management decisions and improve profitability. This course will be offered during the spring of 2015.

Cattle Feeder Days

Join us in December 2014 for a program focused on the unique opportunities and challenges of the cattle feeding industry in Minnesota.

Beef University

January 10, 2014 - University of Minnesota, St. Paul

A new program for 2014, geared toward consumers, designed to overview the beef industry from farm to fork and beyond. Attendees will learn about beef cattle production systems, beef quality influencers, and how to incorporate beef into a healthy, fit lifestyle. This program is a joint collaboration between University of Minnesota Meat Science and the Minnesota Beef Council.

Carcass Merit Program

Discover how well YOUR genetics perform in the feedlot and on the rail. The Minnesota Carcass Merit Program is a custom feeding program which generates a detailed report on live performance, carcass quality, and cattle profitability.

Cow/Calf Days

This program, which is held at multiple locations around the state, provides current information on issues facing the beef industry and new technologies available to cow/calf producers.
